Lima, also known as the “City of Kings”, was founded in 1535 by the Spanish conqueror Francisco Pizarro. Located directly on the Pacific coast, Peru’s capital city is a melting pot of cultures where you will encounter people, flavors, and history from different regions. The bustling metropolis has something for all tastes and ages: indulge in exquisite, internationally-praised cuisine, catch some waves on the coast, visit museums, and stroll around the historical center or the bohemian district of Barranco. -
Overnight at the Hotel Innside Lima Miraflores 4* (inside room)
Lima: Buffet Breakfast - Colonial & Contemporary City Tour with San Francisco Monastery and Larco Museum (5h) - In the historical center, admire the colorful colonial architecture around the “Plaza San Martín” and the main square “Plaza de Armas”, where you can also see the Government Palace, the Cathedral, and the Municipality. From here, visit the San Francisco Monastery and discover its underground maze of tunnels and catacombs. Finally, head to Lima’s contemporary districts, Miraflores and San Isidro, that combine beautiful parks, such as “El Olivar” and “Parque del Amor”, shopping centers, and modern architecture. End your tour at the Larco Museum and appreciate over 45.000 objects including pre-Columbian ceramics, textiles, gold and silver pieces. Lima to Arequipa - Transfer Hotel to Airport (1h, 25km/15.5mi.) - Flight Lima to Arequipa (not included) - Transfer Airport to Hotel - City Tour with Santa Catalina Monastery (3h) - You will be picked up at the airport in Arequipa and taken to your hotel. Later on Start your city tour by admiring the beautiful landscapes, fields, and pre-Inca terraces from the Yanahuara and Carmen Alto viewpoints. Surrounding the White City, the majestic snow-capped volcanoes stand tall: Misti, Chachani, Pichu Pichu. Then, visit Arequipa’s most traditional neighborhood: San Lázaro. As you make your way towards the center, visit “La Compañía de Jesús” Church that dates from the 17th century. Admire its fine façade and the impressive and beautifully carved cloisters. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage site, the historical center boasts colonial splendor: admire its grand Cathedral, the impressive water fountain, and the main plaza’s numerous arcs made of “sillar”, a white volcanic rock. End your tour at the Santa Catalina Monastery, a 20,000m2 (215,278ft2) complex that is considered a “City within the City”. For over 400 years, nuns lived here completely isolated from the outside world. In 1970, it was opened to the public; today part of the complex is reserved for the nuns still living inside. -

Arequipa-Colca - Meals: Buffet breakfast, Lunch - 2-Day Colca Canyon Excursion ending in Puno - Arequipa to Colca (3h 30min, 163km/101mi.) - The Colca Canyon, one of the world’s deepest gorges, is located about 160km (100mi.) northwest of Arequipa. From the “Cruz del Condor” viewpoint, spot the immense Andean Condors as they fly and hunt for food. Learn about the Colca’s indigenous cultures and the agricultural terraces and irrigation systems. As you head towards Chivay (3,658m/12,000ft.), you will pass through different ecological zones like the desert, the “altiplano”, and the dry tundra. Keep an eye out for herds of wild vicuñas (the llama and alpaca’s relative) and for birds like the giant hummingbird, eagles, and Andean geese.
Approximately 163 km (101 mi.) northwest of Arequipa the Colca Canyon is located, one of the world’s deepest gorges. Here, you will drive through the Aguada Blanca National Park. Keep an eye out for herds of wild vicuñas, llamas, and alpacas. Then, reach the tour’s highest viewpoint at 4,910m (16,108ft.) and appreciate the snow-capped peaks of the region’s volcanoes like the Misti, Ampato and Sabancaya. After lunch in Chivay (3,658m/12,000ft.), you have the option to relax at “La Calera” thermal baths or to visit the local market.

Colca-Puno - Meals: Buffet breakfast - 2-Day Colca Canyon Excursion ending in Puno - Colca to Puno (5h 30min, 291km/181mi.) -
After an early breakfast, make your way to the “Cruz del Condor” viewpoint and appreciate the depths of the canyon. Try to spot the immense Andean Condors as they fly and hunt for food. Afterwards, stop in the small towns of Maca and Yanque renowned for their small colonial churches and stunning landscapes. -
Afterwards, you will be driven to Puno. On the Colca - Puno route, you will be able to appreciate a beautiful high Andean landscape, with fauna and flora of the area. Also, you can see rock formations that resemble a forest of stones. You will pass through the villages of Pillones, Imata, Crucero Alto (highest point 4,538m/14,888ft.). Continue to the beautiful area of Lagunillas with its impressive natural lagoon, town of Santa Lucia, Cabanillas, Juliaca, until you reach the city of Puno. -
Puno is located on the shores of Lake Titicaca (3,812m/12,506ft.), the world’s highest navigable lake. Don’t miss a visit to the Uros floating islands, where people have preserved their culture and still live in a fascinating way. The city is also known as the folklore capital. In February, it hosts important celebrations and receives around 50,000 artists that fill the streets with their music, traditional dances, and vibrant colors. -

Lake Titicaca is nestled in the Andes Mountains at 3,812m (12,506ft.) on the border between Bolivia and Peru. It is the largest lake in South America and the highest navigable lake in the world. Untouched by time, the highland cultures still fish in the ice-cold water, navigate on traditional reed embarkations, and harvest their crops by hand. To this day, their languages, traditional arts, beliefs, and customs have prevailed. Believed to be the birthplace of the sun, Lake Titicaca is a unique experience to not be missed during your adventures in Peru. -
Depart from Puno’s dock towards the unique Uros islands that literally float on Lake Titicaca, the world’s highest navigable lake. Meet resident families dressed in traditional and colorful outfits that will welcome you and show you their homes, boats, and islands made of reed. Every year, they replenish the islands with a new layer of reed and continue to maintain the Aymara language and other traditional ways of living. Continue your journey towards the island of Taquile. Be amazed by the elaborate pre-Inca terraces, unpaved roads where there are no cars, no electricity nor pollution. Learn about the people’s unchanged lifestyles for thousands of years and their unique traditions based on community collectivism. On the island, men are taught to knit and women weave and yarn, blending these crafts into their unique social arrangements.

On your bus ride from Puno to Cusco, you will stop at several interesting sights, reaching the highest point at “La Raya”, (4,319m/14,170ft.). Stop in the town of Pucará that is renowned for its pottery and the “Toritos de Pucará”: colorful hand-painted bulls. Visit the "Museo Lítico de Pucará" (Pucará Stone Museum), and appreciate objects from this pre-Inca civilization. Explore the Raqchi ruins; the best-preserved and only adobe ruins that rest on an Inca rock base. Then, visit the temple in Checacupe and the bridges from 3 different eras: the Incan Bridge, the Colonial Bridge and the Republican Bridge. Finally, visit the Andahuaylillas Church, considered the Sistine Chapel of the Americas because of the artworks that were found inside. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (included) and end your journey in your hotel in Cusco. -
Cusco, located at 3,400m (11,150ft.) in the Andes Mountains, was the heartland of the Incan Empire. The city blends ancient Andean cultures with Spanish colonial splendor. Visit nearby Inca citadels and temples like “Qorikancha” or “Saqsaywaman”, or admire the colonial mansions, balconies, and churches throughout the city. As you stroll along the cobblestone streets, you can appreciate the colorful textiles, handicrafts, and art galleries. From Cusco, deepen your experience and adventure out to the Sacred Valley and to Machu Picchu. -

Cusco-Urubamba - Meals: Buffet breakfast - Maras, Moray, and Ollantaytambo (8h) - Visit of a typical house (30min) -
The Sacred Valley, located at approximately 2,800m (9,186ft.) in the Peruvian Andes, was the heartland of the Inca Empire. Bordering the Urubamba River, its fertile soils were ideal for maize production, which was an esteemed crop and key ingredient to make “chicha”, a fermented maize drink highly consumed by the Incas during festivities and ceremonies. As you drive through the winding roads, stop to explore many fascinating ruins, citadels, and agricultural terraces. Some of the Sacred Valley’s favorite attractions include Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Maras, Moray, and the weaving village of Chincheros. -
Start your tour at Moray, a site with unique circular agricultural terraces. The pre-Inca platforms have underground irrigation channels, different soils, and changing temperatures, which made it ideal for a plant nursery and research center. Walk down 30m (98ft) and appreciate its ingenuity and splendor. Then, visit Maras and admire over 3,000 salt ponds with a stunning view of the Andes Mountains in the background. To this day, a network of water channels fills the ponds, the water evaporates, and the salt is harvested by hand. Finally, explore the impressive ruins of Ollantaytambo, one of the few places where the Incas won a battle against the Spaniards. Climb up the platforms and enjoy the view above the village and onto the valley. Near the ruins, visit a typical home and learn about the unique way their family has lived for generations in the Sacred Valley. -

Urubamba-Cusco - Meals: Buffet breakfast - Transfer Hotel to Ollantaytambo Train Station - Vistadome Train Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes (1h 30min, 43km/27mi.) - Machu Picchu Guided Tour (2h 30min) - Shuttle bus to/from Machu Picchu - Vistadome Train Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo (1h 30min, 43km/27mi.) - Transfer Ollantaytambo to Cusco (2h 15min, 80km/50mi.) - You will be picked up at given time from your hotel and taken to the train station of Ollantaytambo.

At the train station, board the panoramic train and enjoy the stunning Andean views filled with small communities and snow-capped mountains in the Sacred Valley. When you arrive to Aguas Calientes, the small village nestled at the bottom of Machu Picchu, take the shuttle bus up to the ancient citadel. Learn about the Inca civilization, the site’s discovery, and the different theories on this mysterious and spectacular archeological site. -
Machu Picchu is on every traveler’s bucket list: it is undoubtedly one of the “must-see” archeological sites in the world. The most remarkable site from the Inca Empire was never found by the Spaniards and was re-discovered during the 20th century. Since then, archeologists continue to investigate, excavate, and reconstruct the ancient city that used to serve as a political, religious, and administrative center. Temples, agricultural terraces, and archeological observatories enclose a history and a mystery that go back thousands of years. -
After this matchless day, take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes and then continue with the train until Ollantaytambo from where you will be transferred to your hotel in Cusco. -

All our trips are based on 3-star or 4-star accommodation, we strive to ensure that your accommodation is in a suitable location. Depending on the trip, the accommodation will be close to key amenities such as the beach, nature, cafes, restaurants, and shops. All the accommodations we use are carefully selected by our team for their quality, location, service, and facilities.
Your accommodation room is be based on two people sharing unless you have selected single occupancy, if you’re travelling with a friend, please let us know if you wish to be allocated to the same room. All other room allocations will be at random unless specific preferences are stated. Please note we aim to place the same gender in a room where possible.
Due to the nature of group trips and other reasons that are often outside our control, we are not always able to confirm accommodation details until two months before the trip (sometimes later).

Included in our rates are all services, accommodation and meals mentioned in the tour description, taxes, entrance fees, tax & service charge at the hotels as well as the mandatory luggage handling fees in Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Peru and Uruguay at the hotels based on one piece per person.
